This IMBRA law works two ways. If the American man doesn't use an agency or match maker that charges a fee and meets the foreign women via his own means. Then the lady will be given a copy of his criminal record, divorce records, marriage records, addresses, etc.. at the time of Visa application or Visa approval by the INS. So there is no way around it. But, I guess the best chance is to not use an agency because they will have to give her all this info upfront before ever meeting the American man. So, if you have something on your record you are not proud of like a domestic violence charge or maybe you were at fault in the divorce don't use the marriage broker or a foreign dating agency that charges a fee. Meet her yourself and then let her know about these things at the right time after she has gotten to know the real you, and has developed some feelings for you, not this person that the feminist want her to think you are. These women in foreign countries do not understand our laws here in the U.S. If they see a domestic violence charge on you record, they will assume you are a violent wife beater. They don't know that just a shouting match, or an idle threat made in the heat of the argument is now considered domestic violence. Just like if they see a DUI on your criminal record, they will assume you are an alcoholic and probably avoid you. At least the women who consider themselves to be good catches will. Maybe the women over 35 years with children will be a little more tolerant, if that is what you are looking for. The laws in the foreign womens countries are well behind our own. A man going to jail for domestic violence in the U.S. 40-45 years ago was almost unheard of. Only cases where he beat his wife and batttered her were cosidered serious enough to arrest him. The laws in the other countries where most of these foreign women are coming from to marry American men are simlar to the laws in the U.S 40-45 years ago. So if you have a Domestic violence charge they will not understand that it just could have been a heated argument between you and your wife that got out of hand. And that there was nobody hurt. So I would suggest using a free dating service that specializes in forign women.

Good Luck my fellow men,

Marc, I am new here. I saw you on TV. I was glad to see someone picking up the banner.

I have noticed the incredible anti-man and anti-boy slant in American TV. I find myself constantly counterbalancing this with my teenage son. Thankfully, he doesn't watch much TV. All prime time shows are cop shows, and all criminals on them are middle aged white guys. Men in commcercials are dolts and morons. Have you seen the new Cadillac commercial?

Women know that the best defense is a good offense. They are constantly on the attack, but their attacks are always based in victimhood. They have succeeded in painting themselves as perpetual victims, and for some unfathomable reason this gives them the upper hand in America and some other places (like New Zealand). Men don't want to take this tack because men's "code" prohibits them from whining. Women seem to wallow in it. I guess there's a lesson in there too.

Like all movements that succeed, the women's movement is "high on its own exhaust" and has embraced excess. They believe everything is possible to them now. In so doing they are pushing more men to action. Right now I believe that men are casting about for a strategy that will work for us that isnt based on constant complaining. We need merely to stand up and be men and stop taking crap. The media have convinced us that we ARE a problem. We are not. We are half of the human race. Our needs matter eqaully with the needs of women. Our problems are just as pressing as breast cancer.

Men are not down for the count. We are still able to laugh at ourselves, an ability that American women lost decades ago.

One more point I would like to raise: The best move by far that the women's movement ever made was the twin pillars of the birth control pill and Abortion. They are the Genesis of women's power, placing them in ABSOLUTE control of reproduction. Women can get pregnant any time they want, and the legal system will force men to support them. In fact, the federal / state welfare system will actually encourage her to have children without the problematic male around. Or, if the woman decides she doesnt want your child, she can have it killed. Simple and effective. This needs to be counterbalanced, and I believe men need a safe and effective oral contraceptive. They are being developed, and tested in other countries like India. Watch the outcry when they come to America. Men will actually have some control, albeit a negative one, over reproduction. We need it, because it is power.

The war between men and women will always be with us. There are periods in history where it is more or less active. Right now it is very active, and this could turn out to be a defining moment. The ancient stories about the Amazon tribes were meant as a warning to be passed from father to son, and as a reminder to women to not over-indulge their whims. Any movement that takes itself too seriously and over-indulges sows the seeds of its own destruction.

But all men should take heed: this is war.
