Dear Female in MidLife Crisis,

I agree that you not pursue the infidelity route to solve your problems. But, remember: suffering is a choice. That is an equally bad option.

You must convey your feelings of frustration to your husband. Work with him to restructure your life so that you can address ALL your needs — putting yourself last all the time is not good for you, your husband, or your daughter.

I am a 42 year old female who is wondering if I am in the beginning tailspins of a mid-life crisis. I have a five year old daughter and made the correct choice to stay home with her since she was born. I have been married for ten years and am suddenly finding myself feeling completely empty and bored as if my entire life revolves around my daughter, my husband, and the house. I work out daily and have been doing so for the past three years, so it is not that I am out of shape or unattractive, to say the least. I still see men look at me, however, I really don’t feel pretty even though I know I am. My husband does not always seem to make me feel sexy the way I remember feeling in my younger dating days.

I know this sounds crazy, but I just don’t know what to do. It seems like my needs are completely on the backburner, and the thought of cheating goes against everything morally I ever believed in as I am very much a lady and an old-fashioned girl.

Any pep talk or advice to uplift me would be appreciated.

wellll… we should marry for love. And stay married for the same reason.

Aside from the blindingly obvious fact that for every male who has an affair there (almost always) has to be a female having it with him, it’s too easy to stop being married, when we can mistake lust and the allure of the new, for a new love.

Grow a pair, fellow men, and don’t let some women’s bad behavior make the rules.

I am a 48 year old twice Married Male.
In my circle of Friends is at least two dozen Men. All of whom have been married and Divorced. All but two had their marriages end due to infidelity on their wives part. Women apparently no longer feel any guilt about cheating. In fact when questioned they feel entitled to cheat. It “Empowers” their sexuality. Why any sane Male would marry an American Woman in this climate is beyond me.

The financial, emotional, and family toll is mounting. And women now feel entitled to have sex with Boys.
There is an all out predatory behavior Women in this culture are exhibiting. So much for the improvement of society promised by Feminism.
