Many men don't understand that there are various types of female gold diggers, and many women forget that men can have similar issues, only it can be disguised. The thing is, from the research I have done, I conclude that it is most typical that most men observe the signs that a woman is a gold digger and may even encourage it via bragging over his accolades. Men of this personality type tend to want to be ego stroked and enjoy feeling superior. Where does he expect this to lead? He knows unless he's the rare victim who just gives too much to please a woman. On the other hand, women are usually "taken" through the guise of falling in love, wanting to take care of her man and treat him well. To me, a male gold digger may be akin to a con man. This man may lie and use his sexual self to get his way and make a woman doubt he is thinking about what she has, or what she can do for him that will make his live easier. Many women are blind to him because we have been trained to only percieve woman as doing such a thing. Even if a woman doesn't make a high salary, it doesn't mean that a man can't dig up gold. "It" can come in the support of money, gifts, favors, and undying support, over and beyond what is normal and healthy. Even labor is a commodity. Some men enjoy being taken care of and don't intend to recipricate. The true sign is someone who gives more than he takes...period. He also often believes he is God's gift to women and brainwashes a woman to believe he's a good catch that she should be happy and proud to have. In the African-American community, this is also done via reminders that there are less available black men to choose from. I encountered someone who appeared to be one thing, but I ended up doing for him. By the time I realized what happened to me I was in love and questioning if I should give up all that I had inveted in this person. In the end, I cut my losses and moved on. I incorporated it into a fictional story that includes a former NFL player who refuses to face that his career is over. In the first volume, his sister had a bad habit of using men to get what she needed. The second book shows signs that I've referred to. Yes, a male gold digger is a living, breathing being!
